Development of Critical Thinking via Writing and Reading

چکیده

The study is aimed to determine the ability of students think critically while reading and writing. teaching methodology included preparation texts reports their by 8th grade develop writing skills in English, development critical thinking. Methods quantitative analysis, descriptive statistics, survey-test, Student's t-test were used. involved a teacher researcher (English teacher), 42 eighth graders. To collect data, assessment educational achievements, analysis documents examination (preliminary post-test) carried out. was out three stages: planning, execution, monitoring reflection main stages this study. research base Nazarbayev Intellectual School Physics Mathematics Shymkent. In addition results observation, according test, it found that average score increased from 43.71 on preliminary test 74.45 final test. effectiveness for thinking t-criterion shown. use also had positive impact target audience (students teachers), pedagogical professional competence teachers developing, planning conducting lessons at developing   Key words:productive skills, research, receptive analyses, creativity, expressing ideas, mental growth.
